MEDICAL ALLEY, Minn. (8/19/2025) — Today, Medical Alley announced the appointment of Jodi Niehoff as its new Senior Director of Government Affairs and Communications. Niehoff brings more than two decades of experience in public policy, strategic communications, and government relations at both the federal and state levels.
Niehoff most recently served as Deputy State Director for U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, where she worked closely with stakeholders across Minnesota’s health ecosystem. Her extensive experience also includes two decades in Washington, D.C., serving in senior leadership roles in the U.S. Senate, as well as leadership roles with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system and the National Farmers Union.

“Jodi is a rare talent — equal parts strategist, connector, and champion of this community,” Medical Alley President and CEO Roberta Antoine Dressen said. “Her track record and instinct for collaboration will be vital as we sharpen Medical Alley’s voice and expand our influence where it matters most.”
In her new role, Niehoff will lead the organization’s government affairs and communications teams, advancing Medical Alley’s policy priorities, cultivating strategic relationships with lawmakers and industry stakeholders, and elevating the stories of its 800+ partners across the health innovation ecosystem.
“I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of public service and impact, and there’s no better place to continue that work than here in Minnesota, where world-class innovation meets a genuine commitment to better care,” Niehoff said. “I’m excited to listen, learn, and lead alongside such a passionate community.”
Niehoff will officially begin her role on September 8, 2025.
Michael Morton, who served in an interim role since the beginning of the year, will continue with the organization as a federal policy advisor.
“Michael Morton provided steady and thoughtful leadership during a critical transition period,” Dressen said. “We’re grateful for his continued contributions and are fortunate to retain his expertise as we strengthen our presence on the federal policy front.”
