Thursday, February 16, 2017

Congratulations to MAA member, Mardil Medical, for the win of the 2017 Innovation Grant Challenge. Cardionomic and AAR Aerospace, LLC were the runners-up. The American Heart Association’s Twin Cities Innovation Grant Challenge is a competition for Minnesota-based med-tech companies with technology related to preventing or managing heart disease and stroke. This competition is open to pre-revenue, development stage companies with the top three finalists presenting onstage at the Advancing Sciences Breakfast to compete for a $25,000 cash award.

The Annual Advancing Sciences Breakfast brings together business leaders from bio-tech and the life sciences to network and learn about innovative ways to accelerate science in order to advance new treatments for cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The American Heart Association & American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) is the convening organization that fosters dialogue and discovery among local leaders who can affect change in the fight against heart diseases. The Medical Alley Association (MAA), along with Medtronic, St. Jude Medical, Boston Scientific, NAMSA, and more sponsored the breakfast.
