Members of The Medical Alley Association (MAA) are investing in two things: access to services that promote company success and making sure that Minnesota maintains and grows its leadership in all things healthcare. Stakeholder members have voluntarily increased their investment to drive the MAA mission to champion and facilitate an environment that enables health technology and care organizations to innovate, succeed, and influence the evolution of healthcare.
Foundational and Sustaining members are a special category of members. They pay a premium above and beyond regular membership and receive enhanced benefits such as an increased profile in member publications, listing as a sponsor of all events and recognition at the annual meeting. These benefits provide them an enhanced community profile in exchange for their expanded support of the MAA.
Foundational and Sustaining membership was created in 2015 as a result of discussions between management and the board about ways to better capitalize the association. Historically, MAA received 35% of its revenue from membership and 65% from services sold after a company joined. Management believed this was upside down. Too much time spent chasing money, not enough time spent delivering value.
The impact of this shift in strategy has been significant, allowing MAA to invest in the resources needed for success. We expanded our research services to provide members with more insights and information. We deployed a new IT system that makes it easier to track member information and send them the right thing at the time. And most importantly, we are more responsive to members’ needs.
A loud thanks from the entire staff of MAA to our Foundational and Sustaining members for enhanced investment:
